Gee I use the Duncan Heinz French Vanilla box mix. Inside is the Wilton cake baking directions for tiered cakes.
If this is something you might be doing for a while, you might check out The Cake Bible. In there are many recipes including the traditional cake recipe and butter cream frostings. It is the best book for making cakes. I love it.
Yeah, Duncan Hines is the way to go. My mother used Duncan Hines white cake mix, and put a couple drops of butter flavor that she got at a baker’s supply store. It was excellent!
