I’m going to my boyfriend’s friend’s wedding in two weeks and I was wondering if it would be ok to wear this dress. My only concern is if it’s appropriate to wear white at all. This dress has black flowers on it, a black bow and a black border on the bottom AND I’d be wearing black heels so the only thing that is white is the background. What do you think?

I had to do a stupid english project on wedding etiquette and all the books I was using for my research said that you aren’t supposed to wear white at all because it takes away from the bride.

Yea thats’ cute. i think that the white is not too prominent so it would not look like you are trying to steal the bride’s spotlight. It is really cute, but i would suggest trading the black heels for something colorful, like blue or purple or red.
that is a really nice dress and is like perfect for a wedding because its not like crazy fancy but is still like fancy in a way its great you should definitely wear it!

Yes its fine because its not all the way white and it is not to busy, so it takes no attenton away from the bride and her dress.

You’re not supposed to wear an ALL WHITE dress to a wedding unless you’re the bride. It’s ok to wear a dress that has white in it. That dress is really cute, and would be completely appropriate for a wedding guest. Have fun.
PS: Thank you for wearing a dress that fits you appropriately, I’m so tired of seeing girls and women wear dresses that are several sizes too small and having to witness the resulting bulges and flab hanging out.

Yes! Very elegant, but not over the top. As long as it’s not ALL white it shouldn’t be an issue. Love it!
Absolutely, YES! I wore a ivory dress with polka jacquard pattern and black laces @ top & bottom to a wedding last year. People gave me compliment that was sophisticated. Black + White is a good color combination. Just make sure that you are going to wear black heels and purse.
