Can anyone help me find wedding supplies of any kind for a very gothic, medevil, vampiric wedding ceremony?

July 28th, 2010 by Kati

I want a gothic, medevil, vampiric wedding. I am having trouble finding things you need for a wedding other than the dress. Can anyone give me helpful websites. Also looking for ideas for a gothic themed wedding. Black horses, the whole 9 yards. Also running into dead ends looking for vampiric wedding attire for my man. If any of you have had a dark wedding please shed some light on where to find stuff.

Go to New Orelans and go to Rob Zombies Voodoo shop. Look up voodoo and or pagan ritual supplies and you might be able to order some cool stuff.

Large party stores are always good for stuff like that. You may not find wedding-specific decor, but definately something dark. My aunt worked at a party store for many years, and they’ve got a large selection of favors that you can customize with different colors, ribbon, and text.

Try Halloween supply stores, Party stores, Oriental trading, and if there’s one in your mall, Hot Topic. Oh and maybe Spencer’s.

Try stores that sell halloween items. You may have to make a lot of it your self as it is not the a-typical wedding. As for the wedding attire for a man how about a high end costume store.

Instead of ordering clothing through the mail, why not go to your local Walmart and get some dress patterns. Pirates are big now and the dresses look great, all you have to do is change the colors of the fabrics.

The same goes for your man. Just the other day, I saw some very nice vest patterns that maybe he could wear with a suit.

If you want some nice glassware and other accessories, you should go to Dancing Dragon, but right now, their updating their site.

Look for a costume store in your area that speciaizes in “theatrical costumes”. These will be higher quality and you can give them your measurements and make sure its going to fit your groom well. These are availible for rent as well so you wont have to spend a fortune and take a gamble buying it online. Hope that helps.

We had a gothic/vampiric/pagan/satanic wedding — (not legal – more of a handfasting), then we did the legal one..

I bought my gown from http://gothshop.com/

You can look into some handfasting ceremonies to use for your wedding, should you choose to do that. If you’d like more info, please email me, and I’d be happy to share info with you.

One of the best things to do is to look on internet search engines such as yahoo and google and search for ‘gothic themed weddings’ etc and they should have some pictures of ideas that might help you plan your wedding.

Some ideas that I can think of for a gothic wedding would be to have a red and black colour scheme using black table cloths and linen and blood red roses (Grand Prix roses) or alternatively you could use a Transylvannia theme or halloween theme.

The following site offers halloween and gothic themed wedding invitations:

The following sites are also useful:

http://www.nehelenia-designs.com – offer medieval style clothing.
http://www.askginka.com/themes/halloweentheme.htm – offers info on different products suitable for your theme.

Hope this helps. Best of luck with everything.
