How long do post wedding photos usually take? Considering we are going to get all of the photos we can without us having to be together taken before the wedding, so the only ones left for post wedding will be the ones of us as a couple and the couple with family.

about an hour at most.
at least 35-45 minutes, just incase something goes wrong
a few days
It depends on how many different poses you do, but it usually is only about 45 minutes to an hour. It isn’t very long. Congrats on the engagement!:)
It depends on how organized you are and how large you families are. If you work up the exact list of family groups, etc it can go rather quickly, especially if the coordinator works with the photographer to assemble and pose the groups. The willingness of your family to cooperate and not cut up also enters into the equation. Are there small children who are getting tired and hungry? Get those poses out of the way first. With good planning most of the time this can be accomplished in about an hour. If the ceremony site needs to be cleared of guests before the family comes back for the formals, remember to allow for that time.
I was told 3 mins per group – You have to get them organized and all that. I am planning a list with the most family members going first then sent to the reception so I can reduce the chaos. My dad’s family is 30 people – they go first. then my fiance’s extended- 15 – then my mom’s extended – 6 peeps- then parents and they can all be released to go to the reception and mingle with guests. We are keeping the wedding party for a few shots at the church and then going to the reception to take a few pics out front and then they go inside. then just the two of us for a few shots. In all about 45 mins with a 10 min drive included.
A tip – You can have more casual groupings at the reception if your photographer is going there – college roommates, family friends, cousins etc.
It depends on the size of your bridal party, the size of the family and the speed of your photographer. Really, the best person to ask is your photographer (and that’s not an unreasonable question to ask them either).
That being said, a typical wedding of 8-10 bridal party members and a normal family size with an average photographer will run you about 30-45 minutes after the ceremony.
