I’m on a budget and both my mother and my fiances mother thinks balloons and crepe paper streamers are fine for a wedding. I will be having flowers for my center pieces. Do you think those thing make weddings look cheesy? Any other ideas on low cost decorations?

Balloons I think are fine, but streamers sounds pretty cheesy.
Good Luck!
um no . not balloons an crepaper.
what about candles with the centerpieces
the flowers well be enough. its not a birthday party its your wedding . what bout this
get pictures of you and your fiancee through out the years from birth on and then you attach them to ribbon and hang them from the ceiling. the ribbons can be your wedding colors
Balloons yes leave the streamers..you are being very creative and I like that! it is your day and everyone is not a flower person..so get creative your day, you enjoy…
I wouldn’t do balloons or streamers. I would go without before I junked the decor up. Simple is better. There are lots of ideas out there – what about candlesticks from CB2.com? Other than the centerpieces, you really don’t need any more decorations anyways.
that would be lovely.. it’s your special day!
Honestly, yes! Save the balloons and streamers for kid’s birthday parties. You can get inexpensive centerpiece ideas and design ideas online, then shop around for the materials at discount stores, on clearance, buy with coupons or buy in bulk online. You could probably do a simple, inexpensive candle centerpieces and table designs for about the same amount of money as balloons and streamers. Everywhere I go, I see 100 tea light for like $2.99. Maybe that can be an option, using candles and candlelight is very inexpensive. You can even find all kinds of pillars and candle holders on sale, especially after the holidays.
leave ballons crepe paper and streamers for someones birthday party that is under 10
look into tea lights you said you are doing flowers dont cheese up the place less in alot of cases is more.
also you can look into some tall glasses with floating lights for diffrent height and lights also mirrors to reflect the light
yeah what are u creating a wedding for a six year old?
grow up get some realy wedding decorations.
I’m also on a budget, so I know where you’re coming from. But you can create a nice, pretty atmosphere with candles, a mirror under the flower centerpieces, and some strands of lights or paper lanterns, or artificial flower garlands, which are available at Michael’s..
Whatever you decide to do, just have fun and enjoy it. The reception is a party after all!
Don’t do it. Streamers are cheesy for any party.
WHAT!!! you can’t possibly be serious. Everyone in the world is on a budget, but you certainly don’t see people using balloons and streamers!!!!
This is not a 5 year old childs birthday right??
If you want people to take you serious, do not under any circumstances, or any budget crunch, use balloons and streamers.
edit-anyone who tells you that is a fine idea…is just fishing for a Best Answer.
Can you say Tacky
use some balloons tulle and white christmas lights beautiful
or some of those paper lanterns
Honestly, don’t do this. I try not to ever offend anyone on here but this is not a good idea. This is your wedding that you have been dreaming about since you were a little girl. You would be better off decorating with pictures of the two of you are cute love quotes in cute frames. Best of luck!
Balloons for a wedding is an excellent idea, since balloons add to the festive atmosphere. And weddings are festive, right? However, for it to be impressive, it should be done by professional balloon decorators. You will have a choice of color combinations to make things look elegant, and you may be surprised and impressed at the images on the internet from your research (see below). Balloons makes everyone, especially kids, happy. Every wedding has some kids in attendance, and the balloons will help prevent them from having an adults only feeling with the associated boredom. Afterward, make sure you can take some home and don’t permit the catering hall cleaning staff the windfall of hundreds of balloons for themselves, as these balloons are for you and whomever YOU decide to give them out to. You paid for it, might as well enjoy it for days to come. Good luck with your decorating, and let me know how things went.
