Custom Design is the way to go for Engagement Rings, Wedding Rings, and Anniversary Rings.

An engagement ring or a wedding ring is the one piece of jewelry a woman wears every single day, hopefully for a lifetime. If she loves it she’ll be admiring it constantly…and get lots of compliments. But if she settles she will be looking everyday at something that doesn’t make her happy.

Most woman (or men) who are looking on line with the intention of purchasing are trying to find a ring (or piece of jewelry) they can comfortably visualize wearing.

The problem these people run into very often is that the rings and jewelry they see are not exactly what they want.

A little thinner ring, a little higher setting, a few more or less stones, better quality diamonds, a different metal, or a different color, some engraving added. Or they have a design in mind, a family crest, a meaningful symbol, a hobby or sport. The list of what people might prefer is endless.

The solution to getting exactly what you want is to work with an established design studio. A company that has been in business for at least 10 years or more and can supply you with CAD images and wax models as part of the creative process.

“Can I afford to have a custom ring made?” is the most common question people ask. The answer surprisingly is YES.

Having said that…very often it is young people with limited budgets who have a creative idea they would like us to make and don’t want to settle, who try and have custom rings or jewelry made. Unfortunately tight budgets and custom work are don’t work well together.

Having a ring designed and fabricated just for you is not a way to try to save money and get an expensive ring for less. Because most designers manufacture themselves, you can have a ring or piece of jewelry specially made without having to pay much more than buying a finished item in a store or website. You are actually cutting out the retailer (or online retailer in this case), and buying directly from the designer/manufacturer.

The key to selecting the right company will always involve some research. The first thing to do after you Google the word custom rings, custom jewelry is to take a good look at the websites you find.

· Does it look professional?

· Do they show some of their custom work?

· Do they attempt to explain the process?

· Do they have any testimonials…preferably a lot?

The reason working with a design studio is the way to go today is because of the new technology. By generating computer images for you you can see exactly what the ring or piece of jewelry will look like. These images can be modified until you are completely happy. Then the design studio will send you the wax model of the ring, with the diamonds placed in it. You can get a very good feel for the finished product, or have them make the modification you need and send it to you again. This way you are guaranteed to exactly what you want.
