Assortments Abound For Your Save The Date Wedding Magnets

Saturday, September 25th, 2010

Picking out the different patterns of your save the date wedding magnets is not as easy as it used to be when there weren’t so many internet companies around.  Some people consider this a positive, because they can find exactly what they want.   The following list is only a small sample of the vast selections that are available to you today.

Wedding Rings Save The Date Wedding Magnets

Wedding rings are the way to go if you really want to go with the wedding theme.  You won’t have much of a selection with colors here.  Gold.  Silver.  And that’s about it.  Exhibit your romantic photo with your rings and you’ve got it made.

Beach Save The Date Wedding Magnets

Many people get a picture taken of themselves strolling along the shore with the sun setting in the background.  Others choose to be more outgoing splashing each other in the water.  If you’d prefer not to have your picture on it, you can go with beach type designs such as shells or palm trees.  Look to make another decision here, too, whether you go with actual photographs or some artists design of a sandy beach, swaying palm tree, or a cute beach ball.

Calendar Save The Date Wedding Magnets

These basically display your wedding month with the date circled.  It’s up to you what ever else you want to add and how you want to add it.  Some people add their photo in the background.  Most are embellished with nice script and beautiful color.

Flowers Save The Date Wedding Magnets

One way to decide on which flower design to use is to look at the time of your in which your wedding is happening and choose appropriate flora.  If you know your preference for your flowers  You need to decide if you prefer photos or drawings of flowers.  Either way, you can always bring in your wedding colors to tie it all together.

Hearts Save The Date Wedding Magnets

Many couples like using hearts because they are adorable.  Your picture in a heart or the actual magnet in the shape of a heart can work well here.  If hearts aren’t enough for you, feel free to add more.  You can mix hearts with any others, using appropriate matching colors, a light house design, and even rings.

Light House Save The Date Wedding Magnets

Lighthouses are seen as a timeless romantic symbol.  Photos of the engaged couple in front or around a lighthouse works well.  You might have to take a little trip, though.  If there aren’t any near you, see if you or your photographer can photo shop you into an existing picture.  Again, renderings may work well enough for you.

Plain or Simple Design Save The Date Wedding Magnets

Simple save the dates would simply have the basic information listed, like the date and time.  They will forget about the wedding flowers, wedding rings, and wedding calendar in their design.  They will focus on the wedding information and some simplistic look.  You’re your magnets panache by using some design in the background.

Searching the internet for companies that offer choice will yield results.  In your searches, you might find the perfect pre-made style.  As you perform your research, look for your specific interests, whether it’s rings, beaches or lighthouses.  Don’t spend hours upon hours searching through styles that won’t suit you.  Following these steps should set you off in the right direction in finding the perfect save the date magnets for your wedding.

Is it uncouth to inquire about a wedding invitation if you received the Save The Date?

Monday, June 21st, 2010

My mom got invited to a wedding from a young lady that she regulary sits next to at church.

She recieved the save the date a while ago, but the wedding is June 5th and she has yet to receive the invitations. Is it tacky to call the person and ask them what happened to the invitation?

We kind of assumed that maybe she had closer people to invite so had to let her go, but then the invite could have gotten lost in transmission. WHAT IS THE PROPER STEP TO TAKE?

Is it necessary to send Save the Date cards before wedding invitations?

Friday, April 30th, 2010

Hello,

Just curious if it’s better to just send the wedding invitations now, instead of first sending a Save the Date card. We already know the date, the church, and who we want to invite. Why not just send the invites?

Thanks

Jeff & Erin’s EPIC Wedding Trailer: Save the Date

Saturday, March 13th, 2010

We created this EPIC wedding trailer as our Save-the-Date. It’s a parody of action movie trailers, with every cliche we could think of. Sorry for the terrible acting. For the full effect, turn up the sound… way up! Enjoy! PS We thought most of the music clips would be instantly recognizeable, but a lot of people have been asking about them, so here they are in order of appearance: 0:04 – Twentieth Century-Fox Fanfare by Alfred Newman 0:24 – Battle Without Honor or Humanity by Tomoyasu Hotei 0:58 – About Love by David Joseph Wesley 1:15 – You Sexy Thing by Hot Chocolate 1:28 – Theme from “Mission: Impossible” by Adam Clayton & Larry Mullen 1:35 – Lucky by Jason Mraz (feat. Colbie Caillat) 1:55 – The Raider’s March (from “Indiana Jones”) by John Williams 2:20 – Requiem for a Tower (“Lux Aeterna” remake) by Clint Mansell re-arranged by Simone Benyacar, Dane Nielsen, and Veigar Margeirsson 3:37 – Main Title Theme from “The Matrix” by Don Davis 3:56 – Theme from “Terminator” by Brad Fiedel
