Destination Wedding Couples

Wednesday, June 23rd, 2010

Getting married at exotic getaways is one of the dreams of the couples of modern days. Thus destination wedding couples are dreaming big and setting new parameters for their wedding to make it a highly memorable and exclusive lifetime event accompanied with grandeur and splendor. The attractive Mexican coastlines not only lure the  cabo san lucas wedding couples to travel to premier locations and celebrate their wedding but spend their honeymoon as well.

Getting hold of an efficient wedding planner is the first step of their venture. The wedding planner works in conformity with the couple and attempts to strike the best balance between all the activities and programs related to the wedding. One of Mexico’s largest wedding destinations, Los Cabos is a couple’s perennial heartthrob. In their endeavor of making their wedding one of the most memorable events of their lives, the Los Cabos bride and groom grab attractive wedding locations which can eventually be the best setting for their wedding photography too. The beautiful Mexican villas urge the couple to pose for their romantic moments.

Along with efficient photography, the wedding bride and groom pay special attention to floral arrangements some of which are upscale. Made of fresh and often silk flowers, these weddings bouquets render a touch of elegance and sophistication to the dream day of the couple.

Choosing the flamboyant Mexican beach, automatically paves the way for rich wedding Music, often Mariachi, the genre that is closely related to weddings. The rhythm and tune of Mariachi music make the wedding couple dance in ecstasy and enjoy every single moment of their togetherness with each other and all those near and dear to them.

The destination wedding couples pay heed to every subtlety concerned with their wedding so as to give the ultimate touch of perfection to their D day. However, it must be noted that while planning destination wedding, the couple is particularly concerned about gathering the elderly members of their families, as no festivity is complete without their presence!

The bride and groom eagerly participate in deciding their wedding attire based on themes and colors of their specific choice.

A concoction of music, photography, floral designs, theme attire and above all the gaiety of the celebration make the dreams of the wedding couple come true. Their dream day and exclusive moments are captured in photographs and videos which they cherish lifelong. Hence they always prefer ace photographers and videographers to record their wedding proceedings and celebration moments. The attractive wedding location later becomes their honeymoon spot and gives the ultimate touch of glory to their wedding. So they grab the most handsome wedding package and fulfill their desires of a memorable wedding. They travel hundreds of miles to tie the nuptial knot and make every step of their togetherness exclusive.

As far as destination weddings are concerned, cabo wedding couples can truly brag by saying that their marriages have been made in heaven!

Wedding Invitation Ideas for Destination Weddings

Thursday, June 17th, 2010

If you are planning a destination wedding so, you might want to consider reflecting this in your wedding invitations. Your invitations can still have the classic (or modern) look you have been envisioning, but with a few special touches, you can evoke the feelings of your destination as well. Here are some ideas you can use with your invitation package:

Idea #1: Choose colors that work for you first and your destination second.

Most destination weddings are on the beach, and natural beach colors are blue, teal, and tan. However, if you want to use red and black as your wedding colors, these should work as well. Start narrowing down your color choices by what really speaks to you and your future spouse. Any color can work with destination wedding invitations. The key is to use your colors wisely. For example, you may want deep purple and gold wedding invitations. How can you make this choice work for a destination wedding? Choose purple as an accent color and print a starfish or sand castle design in gold! Also, think outside of the box to find certain colors in the surroundings. Hunter green wedding invitations should be a great choice for a beach wedding. This is mostly because this shade of green is close to the color of most seaweed. If you want silver invitations, have you considered the metal gleam off passing ships? Almost any color can fit with a beach theme. Of course, the beach is not the only destination wedding location, but the fact remains that you can make just about any color work with your location if you are creative.

Idea #2: Reflect the season, not the place.

People often link destinations to certain times of the year, and chances are that you have considered this when planning your wedding. For example, if you want to get married at the ski resort where you met, you likely want to do so during the winter when there is snow on the ground. Instead of linking your invitation to the destination itself, consider a seasonal approach. How about a winter romance invitation or an invitation featuring blooming flowers? You can also use invitations that use fall leaves, Christmas holly, sunshine, or other designs that reflect the season.

Idea #3: Use ribbons, charms, and other extras.

Instead of an all-out destination wedding invitation, why not consider an invitation that is more traditional. Then, use accessories like bows to add that special little touch to evoke feelings of your destination. For example, if you are having a Las Vegas wedding, you might choose RSVP cards designed to look like poker cards, or if you are having a wedding by the shore, use a wax seal with a shell design. There are literally hundreds of options available when it comes to accessories and extras. For some couples, this is the perfect way to get the wedding invitations they want.

Idea #4: Look for destination DIY kits.

While some brides and grooms do not want to go over the top, others really want to celebrate their destination wedding to the fullest. If that is the case, look for a wedding kit that can make your wedding invitations really special. For example, some companies make wedding invitation kits that let you send a message in a bottle – a scrolled invitation sent in a small plastic bottle with sand and shells. This kind of destination invitation is typically expensive to mail out, but they are whimsical and your guests should love them! They work well if you are only inviting a small number of guests, which is often the case with destination weddings.

Idea #5: Use your envelopes to show your destination.

You have to be careful with your wedding invitation envelopes. The post office has strict rules about what can go through their machines. However, there are ways in which you can decorate your envelopes. For example, you can use designs like dolphins printed on your envelopes or use colored ink or even stickers. Keep in mind that larger or oddly shaped envelopes might need extra postage. As a special touch, use the post office’s tools to create your own stamps. You can use a picture of the two of you or a picture of your destination.

When you are planning a destination wedding, it is nice to consider invitations that match. The sky is really the limit when it comes to this type of wedding invitation, and there are tons of ways to incorporate your location into the design, whether it is through color, design, or accessories. You can order DIY kits or have them put together by the invitation company. Regardless of your budget, there are options in your price range. Even if you want traditional invitations, check out the small destination touches you can add.

What Is A Destination Wedding Dress?

Monday, June 14th, 2010

Just as destination weddings are fast growing in popularity, so
are destination wedding dresses.

What exactly is a destination wedding dress? It is a trendy,
sensible, cost effective alternative to the traditional wedding
gown.

You don’t have to be leaving town to choose a destination
wedding dress. The name lends itself to the fact that these
bridal gowns are usually made of softer, lighter fabrics that
pack easily and travel well.

However, these informal wedding gowns are nothing less than
spectacular with sleek lines, and simple designs. Today, more
and more brides-to-be are choosing to stray from the multi
layers of frill and lace in favor of the simplistic beauty of a
destination wedding dress.

Lightweight fabrics such as chiffon, organza, silk, rayon, crepe
or crinkle cotton are extremely popular and practical. They are
cool, elegant and comfortable. The lightweight, wrinkle
resistant qualities of such fabrics make your precious wedding
gown very “packable”.

Styles range from truly elegant full length gowns to romantic
tea length. Sexy slip dresses and halter styles are also very
popular and beautiful. For a casual beach wedding dress,
consider a sarong or a Hawaiian holoku.

The cost for such a dress itself warrants consideration,
especially for the frugal bride on a tight budget. You can
easily keep the cost of your beach wedding dress under $300.00
without sacrificing style at all!

Remember…

Dollars do NOT dictate beauty! Some of the prettiest wedding
gowns I have seen, both casual and formal, have been right on
eBay… at a fraction of the cost!

It doesn’t matter whether you are looking for an informal beach
wedding dress for your poolside ceremony, a sunrise or sunset
ocean front ceremony, or if you are planning to wed onboard a
luxury cruise liner…

The destination wedding dress is perfect for every wedding
style!

One more thing…

When traveling to your wedding destination, do NOT entrust the
safe keeping of your wedding gown to airline attendants. Not
long ago, as I stood in the Jacksonville airport, I watched one
young girl break down as a baggage handler, presented her with
her wedding dress accompanied by an apology. The garment bag was
torn open and there were black tire prints on her lovely silk
gown. It had apparently slipped off the side of the baggage
trolley and been driven over, then dragged back to the terminal
from the plane.

Don’t let this happen to you!

How can I transport our reception supplies to Puerto Penasco Mexico for our destination wedding?

Saturday, May 29th, 2010

We are driving across the border, and so far even my Mexico based wedding planner has no viable solution as to how we can get our wedding supplies down to Rocky Point. Her suggestion was to seperate all of it into different cars, so not to get fined. I believe there has to be a better way, has anyone dealt with bringing goods across the border, not for resale, but for personal use? PLEASE HELP A SLIGHTLY FRAZZLED BRIDE! Thank you!

Hot Styles of Destination Wedding Invitations

Tuesday, April 6th, 2010

If you are planning a destination wedding, there are many great invitation styles available. Destination wedding, whether they are in a tropical location, a foreign country, or even Las Vegas can be really special, and although fewer friends and family members may be able to attend due to the travelling involved, you should still send invitations to everyone you want to attend. A destination wedding invitation can perfectly compliment your ceremony, reception, and honeymoon.

Many weddings are held in tropical location or at the beach. Beach weddings are fun and natural, so look for a destination wedding invitation that matches. For example, an Enchanting Sands wedding invitation or a Shells of Love wedding invitation informs your guests right away that you are getting married on the beach. Perhaps you love the sun and water but not the sand. If you are getting married on a boat, choose an invitation, like the Ocean Liner wedding invitation that matches your big day.

A beach wedding provides an excellent theme for your wedding invitations and this location is a fun place to host a wedding. That said, it is not very specific, since there are hundreds of beaches around the world. You can find wedding invitations instead that showcase the country or city you are visiting for your wedding. For example, a Bamboo Breeze wedding invitation is reminiscent of Asia. By alluding to your location with the design, you are also setting the stage of your destination-wedding announcement.

You can also choose to theme your destination wedding invitations around the weather you should be experiencing at your wedding. Not all wedding destinations are warm and sunny! You might love the idea of a Winter Wonderland wedding invitation for a wedding that is taking place in a beautiful icy location like Aspen. On the other hand, if your wedding is in a warm location, you can choose an invitation with a sunny design. It is up to you and your preferences!

Of course, you can get even more specific if you want and show off the exact city of your wedding with the design of your wedding invitation. Las Vegas is the most well known destination wedding location and if you are getting married in this city, you can choose a fun Vegas-themed destination wedding invitation design.

It is also popular to not be too overt with your destination wedding invitation design. Although some people like to be clear that they are getting married in the mountains or by the shore, you can also choose to pick a more traditional style of wedding invitation. Staying true to the mood of your wedding is important, but your wedding invitation does not have to be covered with seashells to give off a vibe that is casual, flowing, and fresh. You can search for a traditional-style wedding invitation instead.

Sometimes, colors work best. Are you getting married outside in a beautiful garden? Choosing bright greens and whites can make for a nice design. Are you having a wedding in the fall forests in a mountain setting? The burnt orange, brown, and gold colors of fall are perfect for your destination invitation.

Keep in mind that you may want to send two invitations in case you decide to have a small ceremony for those who could not travel at the time of the wedding. This can allow you to celebrate with friends and family members who could not afford the trip, had scheduling conflicts, or were not healthy enough to travel. So, when ordering your destination wedding invitations, keep in mind that you may be sending two invitations in the same envelope. You can also choose to send the invitations separately, but they should relate to one another to avoid too much confusion.

Not every couple is lucky enough to have a destination wedding. While most would agree that a beautiful paradise destination would be a nice backdrop for one of the most important days of their lives, at the same time, it is also important that all of their loved ones be present at the ceremony, which is not always possible with a destination wedding. If you do choose to have your ceremony away from home, however, consider the hot new trend of destination wedding invitations. They can help to announce you wedding plans to your guests in a fun, beautiful way.

A destination wedding can take place anywhere and your wedding invitations should reflect this location. Colors are an important aspect of the destination wedding invitation. You should choose colors that reflect the area such as light blue for a beach wedding. Another option is to include a picture of the location, as this can help prepare your guests for what they should expect upon arriving at the destination. Whichever invitations you eventually decide on for your wedding, be sure to allow your guests enough time to plan the trip.
