Halloween Wedding Gowns ? Have the Wedding Event with Halloween Wedding Gowns

Saturday, September 4th, 2010

Forget about the traditional white gown for your wedding; instead, opt for Halloween wedding gowns that will really make your wedding event the talk of the town.

A wedding is a ceremony that officially ties a man and woman together. It is the event that marks their life together that is why a lot of people are painstakingly stretching everything from their budget to make every detail of this once in a life time event to be successful and worth remembering.

When we speak of wedding, we usually refer to a bride with an ethereal beauty and an air of peace and satisfaction. The bride wears a crisp white gown with a long trail that is embroidered will all sorts of laces, ribbons, and flowers. For some women who wanted to go a little bit unorthodox, they prefer to wear a beige gown, with unusual accessories. On the other hand, the groom looks dashingly handsome with his well-tailored suit, and the bridesmaids look ethereal as well.

Little girls usually think of these scenarios as their dream wedding. They want it to be fairytale-like and traditional. And when they grow up and finally get married, they still stick to their idea of a perfect wedding ceremony.

However, there are also those women who wanted to stay out of the box. They wanted to be adventurous by not sticking to norms and customs. And they did it with class and style. There are those people who wanted to be non-traditional but in a very extreme way.

There are lots of women today who are willing to wear non-traditional wedding gowns suitable for their Halloween matrimony. While the traditional wedding gowns are usually very easy to make, these Halloween wedding gowns require more ornate details.

Do not get the wrong idea about Halloween wedding gowns though. Halloween wedding gowns can be trendy and classy too; and they are not those gross and tattered costumes that we see in the movies. They are not gruesome; they are not as if you will just have to splash a pail of blood on the gown and that is it. No, it’s not like that.

The gowns for Halloween matrimonies that I am talking about are those cutting edge dresses that are inspired by Halloween. The dresses may include ornate details like spider web lace designs; and Addams family inspired gowns with orange, brown, black, gold, and crimson accents. Some women also prefer dresses that are based from renaissance, Tudor, and Elizabethan themes. Some also prefer dresses with a pair of fairytale wings.

A Halloween wedding gowns, however, should not be the only thing that you should think of so do not pour all ofyour money on this single item. The real essence of the wedding is not how elaborate your gown is or how perfect it is.

If you are aiming for a cutting-edge wedding, then wear Halloween wedding gowns that are guaranteed to remain in your every guest’s memories.

Five Tips for Amateur Wedding and Event Videography

Sunday, July 25th, 2010

A wedding is an event to remember for a lifetime. Some couples want to remember the event not just with pictures but with a video too. Sometimes though, hiring professionals for wedding and event videography can become very expensive. Some couples simply go for the cheaper option of having a friend handle the wedding and event videography. If you are one such friend and you are new in the world of wedding and event videography, you would do well to remember a couple of basic tips.

Communicate with the Couple

Before you even accept the amateur wedding and event videography job, be sure that your friends know your limitations ahead of time. Tell them how many times you’ve successfully done wedding and event videography and how far you can edit your film. Make sure they know that you can’t do fancy background and sound edits and the like. If they are okay with what you can do then proceed to ask them what they want.

Be sure that you discuss wedding details weeks ahead with the couple. Ask them about venues, activity time frames, preferred angles, editing preferences and important guest locations. This will help you plan for the right amount of film and other things that you need.

Visit Venues

An amateur in the world of wedding and event videography should never neglect to take a peek at the venues of the wedding event. This includes both the ceremony site and the reception site. This is the best way to plan such basic things as direction, timing, lighting placement and angles based on the location and lighting conditions of each site. Every wedding and event videography amateur should also make sure to check for power outlets ahead of time in case of emergency recharging. As an extra precaution, try to make some sample videos of rehearsals and check the sample videos for possible flaws in lighting and positioning.

Talk with the Photographer

You don’t want to get in the way of the photographer and vice versa. You also do not want to irritate him. As a wedding and event videography amateur, you should make friends with the event photographer and ask him nicely about his plans and his suggestions for you. Agree on taking turns at prime spots so that both of you do not appear on each other’s shots. Be sensitive to the photographer’s movements and positions on the actual event and move out of his way whenever possible.

Talk to Others

Aside from the couple and the photographer you should also talk to other people who will be indirectly involved with your wedding and event videography. An example would be the officiating minister or priest. Ask him questions such as acceptable videographer behavior in church. Is it okay to hang from the rafters? Will strong lighting ruin the solemnity of the event?

Bring Another Amateur

Talk to the couple ahead of time about having another person take some additional video shots if you are not confident about your amateur wedding and event videography skills. You may also just ask to bring an assistant along to carry your things if you think you can handle the videography part on your own.
