Wedding Cakes: Icing on the Occasion

Tuesday, June 15th, 2010

One of the high points in anyone’s life undoubtedly is his wedding. A time which marks the beginning of such a bright new chapter for any individual. Any thing which is as important as wedding has to be celebrated. And a wedding celebration looses all its meaning if it does not have a customary wedding cake prepared for the occasion. Indeed, wedding cakes are the life and soul of any wedding. However, it all depends on individual whether he wants to light up the occasion by preparing a nicely decked up wedding cake or want the celebration and occasion to be a damp squib with the absense of one.

Well the answer is pretty simple, no one likes such a red letter day like that of his marriage go waste. Everyone’s desire is to make it a truly memorable affair and make it so special that it can be savoured for life. One way of making it so is by churning out a cake that would breathe life into the occasion. For wedding purposes wedding cakes in the shape of a heart would be a very good idea. Similarly engraving the image of a bride and groom on top of the cake would also go a long way in decking up the cake to suit the grand occasion.

However, wedding cakes.cannot be said to be complete till the time it is not properly decorated. Merely designing it grandly wouldn’t suffice. One way of sprucing up the cake is by adding a fair amount of chocolate and cherries into it. Similarly preparing it in different colours is also one good idea of nicely adorning it. Similarly there are several other methods by which wedding cakes can be decorated, all that is required is little bit of innovation which would help create a cake that would do full justice to the occasion.

Try the methods stated above and prepare wedding cakes that would light up the entire event. Remember marriage is an occasion that takes place only once in one’s life so it needs to be celebrated in a grand way. Above mentioned methods actually does just that. Help one celebrate an occasion like marriage in a manner that befits the grand occasion.

Icing Wedding Cake

Sunday, May 16th, 2010

Icing – using a coating of royal icing – is the traditional way of covering a wedding cake. If yours is to be a classical, traditional wedding, you may find an icing wedding cake best suited to your needs.

However, please note that the same cakes can be created and covered using either icing or chocolate. It is entirely your choice whether an icing covering or chocolate covering better suits the theme of your wedding. The only practical difference is that the surface of an icing wedding cake is likely to be smoother and softer than an equivalent cake covered with chocolate.

Your wedding cake will be the first and longest lasting impression your guests will have of your special day! Creating the perfect wedding cake, be it covered with icing or chocolate, is not easy. Every bride wants her wedding cake to be exactly the way she always imagined.

We will craft your icing wedding cake expertly by hand, using only the finest ingredients. The pictures on our website are only a sample of the many chocolate, icing and fruit wedding cake designs we can create. We can of course change any of the flowers, icing, colours and decoration to coordinate with your individual wedding theme.

Your icing wedding cake can be filled with whatever you desire, such as chocolate or fruit. Your wedding cake filling can vary depending on your taste. You can even create your own filling, or choose different fillings for each tier of your wedding cake.

We can make up a cake or pastry to perfectly suit your individual needs. Icing wedding cakes are very popular with brides and grooms who want something traditional for their wedding.

If you have a specific icing wedding cake to discuss, please feel free to phone one of our staff to discuss your wedding cake requirements. Most icing wedding cakes can be made up within two weeks, but if you have a special requirement, please try to give our bakers enough time to complete your order to perfection.

Alternatively, all our wedding cakes can be seen and tasted at our Regent Street, Knightsbridge and High Street Kensington branches. Why not drop in for a taste of something special and discuss your wedding cake requirements.
