Is it proper to include gift registry information with the wedding invitation?

Sunday, August 1st, 2010

I have heard that you should have your family pass along information about where you are registered and that it is not proper to include the information along with your wedding invitation.

What way is correct?

Any ideas on how to word a wedding invitation that will blend out family? We want to include the children.?

Sunday, July 18th, 2010

My fiance and I will be married in October. I have searched high and low for the “perfect” wording for our invitation, but can’t find anything that sticks out to me. This is both of our second wedding, we both have children, and want to include them in the wedding invitation. Any suggestions from some creative people would be very much appreciated. I was thinking of adding something like ” Please join us in witnessing our circle of love that will make us one” i dont know, what do you guys think?

What do I include in my wedding invitation envelope?

Saturday, June 26th, 2010

I know what to include on the invitation itself but I am confused about what else to put inside the envelope for our wedding invitations. Am I right that I should include the invitation, an RSVP card, an envelope (stamped and addressed) for the RSVP card, and another card that has lodging details and directions to the venue on it? Is there anything I am forgetting? Thanks! (Oh, and this is a semi-casual wedding so we are not doing that fancy tissue paper and stuff like that.)

Wedding Favors ? Why Include Them in Your Wedding

Sunday, June 20th, 2010

Article Introduction:
Congratulations on your upcoming wedding! Weddings are something to be very happy about – I have heard so many people feeling the cheer of their wedding that frankly I cannot wait for my own special day to arrive. Nevertheless, planning a wedding is a mixture of hard work and pleasure at the same time – an interesting mixture without a doubt, which you will probably never find again. Within any wedding planner, wedding favors should be included, mostly because wedding favors are these little mementos of your big day. Since most of the articles on the internet discuss about the general thoughts regarding weddings, I thought it would be wise to discuss about these little mementos within an article.

Article Body:
What are wedding favors?

Many people have asked me throughout time, the use of these wedding favors. I already mentioned a few things about wedding favors, however, I shall expand the topic, and discuss in detail about them, and the reasons for which you should include them in your wedding. First of all, I cannot think of a great list of reasons based on which people should include wedding favors, however I can tell you this – wedding favors will add a whole lot to your wedding reception. Not only that they spice up the environment a bit, but also they are an interesting, yet elegant way of telling your guests “Thank you!” and “Your attending means something to me”. Some other interesting facts about wedding favors are:

• Uniqueness – Wedding favors, back in the 1800s when the Europeans first used them were classic. They were typical, elegant notes that stated how the married couple felt about someone’s attendance. Nowadays, you can consider sugar cubes and Jordan almonds as wedding favors. Almost any sophisticated little gift can be easily considered a wedding favor.
• Warmth – The other thing any type of thoughtful wedding favor brings to a party is a warm feeling. This occurs because you make all your guests feel welcome to the party and you also thank them for all their hard work – no matter if it meant coming from New Jersey to Sydney, or for picking a few things on the way to the ceremony.
• Decorative – As previously mentioned, wedding favors have the advantage of spicing up your wedding ceremony. By picking wedding favors according to the theme, you will make everything fall into its place.

As you might have noticed, there are a series of reasons for which wedding favors should be included in your wedding, however, you should always do what you feel it is right – it is your dream wedding, isn’t it?
