Even Our Wedding Knife Matched Our Theme!

Sunday, September 12th, 2010

I decided, after looking at many wedding suggestions, to have a themed ceremony and reception party. Now the decision was which theme to use. It sounded like a lot of fun to have a country western themed wedding. I thought maybe we could have an old fashioned barn dance at the reception. Then there was the seasonal wedding themes, and since we were getting married in the summer, I thought about a beach wedding. We could have a great time, swimming, partying on shore and watching a gorgeous sunset in the background. There were a lot of themed weddings and receptions to consider. There were all kinds of accessories and supplies for themed weddings, from decorations to a gorgeous wedding cake knife set. With all the themed wedding suggestions they had, I decided to go with the gorgeous fairytale wedding.

Now it was time to look for the fairytale themed accessories and supplies I needed for the theme I chose. First I ordered the lovely wedding invitations for our wedding guests. After that I went on to the wedding d?cor and the other accessories I would need. I wanted a wedding fit for Cinderella. First I needed to get the decorations I wanted to use in the church. Tulle swags were draped from each row of pews with a bow of satin pinned on each end. Tall vases filled with flowers were all around the altar, and tapered candles in fairytale holders were place on the sides of the unity candle.

As our guests entered the church they signed their names in our fairytale themed guestbook, which was absolutely gorgeous. I couldn’t have dreamed a more perfect fairytale ceremony than the one I had. The flower girl and ring boy did a wonderful job at the wedding ceremony and really looked elegant in their wedding attire. We took a carriage ride to the reception, just like Cinderella and her Prince left their ceremony.

The reception hall was really beautiful with all the lovely flowers everywhere and the lovely tables all set up with crystal and silver. Every table in the reception hall had gorgeous crystal champagne flutes with decorated stems to go with our storybook theme. I found these very exquisite castles to use as place card holders on the reception tables. I also got the idea to purchase little carriage favor boxes and fill them with candies for each guest at their tables.

All the reception tables looked elegant, but the wedding table of the bride and groom outshined them all. It had all the elegance of a king and queen. Our cake of five gorgeous tiers, with a fairytale wedding topper, sat at the end of our wedding table on a smaller table. They have everything where I bought our reception supplies, even the perfect wedding cake topper in a storybook theme for our gorgeous cake. There was even a storybook wedding cake knife with lovely designs on the handle. I really liked the wedding knife, but the wedding knife set with the server was what I decided on. The knife set just added to the d?cor of our wedding cake and topper.

After we were toasted with our lovely crystal champagne flutes, it was time for the bride and groom to have their first dance together as man and wife. We danced to our favorite song, “I Swear” by all for one. After our song was over, couples filled the dance floor, for the next song. I’m glad I bought the gorgeous fairytale photo album to store my wedding pictures in, because I’m going to have quite a few of them to treasure. Many of our friends and family commented on what lovely storybook favors we had given them as gifts.

Our wedding and reception was truly unbelievable and I know now that fairytales can come true.

How to Choose a Theme for Modern Wedding Invitations

Saturday, July 24th, 2010

When you are looking at modern wedding invitations, there are going to be a few things that you want to remember. There are many to choose from and finding the perfect wedding invitations can be beneficial by providing you with a keepsake for the rest of your lives.

Remember that the wedding invitations that are chosen for your special day are going to be the first thing that your guests are going to see regarding the day of your wedding. Therefore, when you design your wedding invitations and send them out, you are speaking volumes about who you are, what your day is going to like, and what the rest of your lives are going to be like. Essentially, your wedding invitations are the one way that you have to communicate to others before the wedding ceremony takes place. Therefore, the theme that you choose is going to be very important, as it can say a lot about the wedding itself and how is to be expected at the ceremony.

There are several different ways to choose a theme for your wedding invitations. You should consider all options and decide on the theme that suits you best. This gives you a much clearer idea of what you are looking at when it comes to your invitation, and what you can do to make the invitation even better. The aspects of the invitation that you want to think about include the colors of your ceremony, the overall theme of your wedding, and the theme or main idea behind you as a couple. If you think about these three things when making your decision, you should find it much easier to come up with ideas for the perfect invitations.

Everyone knows that color is very important when it comes to wedding invitations, and you want to make sure that when you think about the colors that you are going to be using, you also think about these in terms of the invitation styles. Most of the time, weddings have two main colors, and sometimes they have a third color, which is seen less often and it acts as a balance between the two. For instance, your colors might be pink and brown, and you might use ivory to balance out the two and add depth to the decorations. You will obviously want the color scheme you choose for your invitations to match the colors and themes that you are using in your wedding, so think about using those colors as a template and make sure that the invite includes them.

Another idea to consider when choosing wedding invitations is that many weddings today have a general theme, or an overall idea. A person might choose to have a beach themed wedding and reception, or they might want to have a very fancy, or a traditional themed celebration. Whatever your theme or central idea is, think about ways that you can incorporate this into the wedding invitations. For instance, if you choose to have a religious wedding, you may want to add one or more of your favorite biblical quotes to your invitations. If you choose a lyric from a song, you can also include this lyric on your invites to tie the entire thing together. There are many different options to consider when choosing your wedding theme, and you should be able to easily incorporate this theme into your invitations.

You want to think about who you are as a couple, and what you can do as a couple to add to your wedding theme, and therefore to add to your invitations. Is there a cultural or family ideal that you want to have present in your wedding? If so, how can you incorporate that into the wedding invitation? Are you musicians or interested in science? If so, is there something that you can put into your invites that really talks about who you are and what your marriage is going to be like?

Remember that while invitations are supposed to be formal and beautiful, they should also be uniquely yours, and something that you can enjoy keeping around for years to come. Weddings are a joyous time and choosing a theme is very important part of the celebration. Modern wedding invitations can include any theme that you want. The possibilities are endless and these can be a beach theme, religious theme or a location that you both enjoy visiting. You may also use a biblical quote or song lyrics to give you guests an idea of what to expect at the ceremony. After choosing a theme, you should consider color choices. Modern wedding invitations usually include two colors with the option of adding a third color. This make a wedding invitation style that is very simple that also provides all relevant information to your guests.

Choosing a Wedding Invitation for Your Unique Destination Theme

Tuesday, July 6th, 2010

A popular wedding trend is to hold a destination event where all of the event’s guests travel to a fabulous destination to celebrate together for the couple’s happy day. Destination weddings often take more planning and coordination than traditional weddings, simply because many people will have to coordinate their schedules in order to travel to the ceremony. This can make choosing the appropriate wedding invitations more difficult as well. By planning early, you can find the perfect wedding invitations to use for your big event that perfectly match your theme.

The first thing to consider when choosing a wedding invitation for a destination wedding is how you plan to incorporate the theme into the invitation design. Some couples look at the destination where their wedding will be held and choose invitations that use images associated with that area. For instance, if your destination is a tropical location, you may choose to use summery or beach-style images and colors on your wedding invitations.

If your wedding is at a resort that is well known for being in a certain area or having a certain focus, it can also be very appropriate to use images associated with that area to make your wedding invitations perfect. Consider the time of year that you wedding is taking place as well because this can help to influence the design decisions that you make when choosing your wedding invitations.

A second consideration when choosing wedding invitations for destination weddings is the necessary information that should be provided within your invitation. Traditional wedding invitations actually contain very little information. The most important information on a traditional invitation is the date, time and location. Although this information is also important for a destination wedding, more should be included.

The information that needs to be included on a destination wedding invitation includes; travel transportation suggestions, information for accommodations at the location, and suggested dates of travel in order to coordinate the dates and times when guests arrive at the destination. If discounts are being given by the destination, you should inform your guests about that. Your wedding invitation should inform your guests about every logistical detail of the event that could affect their travel and attendance.

One way to incorporate all of this information on a simple invitation may be to choose a double-sided design. A double-sided design allows you can to include the basic information on the front of the card, and then the travel details on the back of the card. Be sure to proofread your invitations because it is important to include all necessary information and this gives you enough time to make corrections if they are needed.

An important third consideration when choosing wedding invitations for a destination wedding is to include extra stationery if you are planning a secondary reception in your hometown after returning from your wedding. Many couples who have destination weddings choose to have a separate reception when they get home so that they can spend time and celebrate with the loved ones who were unable to attend the actual ceremony. You should include an extra invitation if you have planned such an event so that all of your guests are informed about an alternative or additional event that they can attend.

Finally, you need to remember that with a destination wedding, you should send out your wedding invitations considerably earlier than if all of your guests were located near the big event. Generally, you should allow three to four months for your guests to be able to plan their travel to attend your destination wedding. They may need to secure that time off from their jobs, plan their air travel, save money for the cost of staying at the wedding destination and prepare any other plans necessary for the trip. The more time you can provide for your guests, the more likely they can attend your ceremony.

Wedding invitations for destination weddings can be more complicated than traditional wedding events. With careful consideration and thought, you can find the perfect invitations to use and put them together to include all of the information you need to share with your guests. With your forethought and planning, you can be well prepared to celebrate your wedding day with your friends and family. A destination wedding is in excellent choice because it is beneficial to everybody attending. Your guests are able to enjoy the experience while having a vacation at a new location. A destination wedding may take much longer to plan and your guests should be given ample time to work the date into their schedules. When planning your invitations, it is a great idea to incorporate images of the location as this allows your guests to get a sense of what to expect upon arrival at the location.
