Sugarcrafting David Cakes made 2 Royal Wedding Cakes for The British Royal Family using Royal Icing cake decorating techniques – In 1986 David Cakes made and cake decorated the Wedding Cake for HRH Prince Andrew & Miss Sarah Ferguson and in 1999 he made and cake decorated the Wedding Cake for HRH Prince Edward and Miss Sophie Reece Jones… Now, David Cakes gains inspiration from his Royal cake connections and creates a huge lavish design for Victoria and Lee who always wanted their own Royal Style extravaganza fairytale wedding cake. ‘Prince Lee and Princess Victoria’ as David affectionately dubbed the couple says “These clients were such a lovely couple and so in love, they just knew what they wanted and simply left myself and the team to create ! It was an amazing experience setting up one of the biggest cakes of the year ! ” The 7ft creation was decorated using old fashioned English over-piping techniques and was adorned with over 200 hand made gum paste sugar flowers, Swarovski Crystal monogram toppers and was completed with a revolving Carousel !
